Job Title: Technical Designer
Hours: Full Time 45 hrs week , 5 days a week.
Remuneration: Up to £21,800 start (dependent on relevant skills & experience), rising to potentially £23,500 after probation (6 months)
Role: To work on both Research & Development projects as well as routine drawings of marine windows, doors, hatches and their components. This individual would be attending internal technical meetings, occasionally with customers and they would also communicate with and co-ordinate between different internal teams on a regular basis.
This person must enjoy very detailed work and be able to remain calm under pressure. This person will be a focused individual with good communication skills, using initiative and working as part of a small but dynamic team.
They MUST be a pleasant, enthusiastic team player, with ability to pick up tasks and systems quickly, and skill to multi-task their way through periods of increased workload. They must have a strong level of IT skills to achieve this.
This person must not be phased by new technical challenges, and must not be afraid to ask questions.

Duties:

Working both as part of a small & varied team, and work alone to sometimes time demanding targets

Generate technical 3D drawings for Quotes and Jobs using Autodesk’s Auto Cad and Inventor

Working on individual R&D Projects

Contributing too and administering R&D Programme

Engaging with internal sales team to provide technical advice

Help maintain technical knowledge database

Help maintain technical aspects of the companies specifications system

Engaging with Suppliers and customers in order to meet R&D Requirements
